Kruger National Park, South Africa. This zebra foul had a close encounter and was lucky to escape death. Depending if the wounds have healed, it would probably became prey again.

Mountain zebras aren't as commonly seen as the Burchell's zebras. There are two differences to distinguish between the two species. Mountain zebras don't have the light brown between the black and white stripes and it also looks as if they have an Adam's-apple on the throats.
